3, 2, 1... Este fin de semana en Málaga se celebra la feria de arte Art & Breakfast. Me ha invitado Mila Abadía de ARTE A UN CLICK y estaré junto a David Gª Torrado en la habitación 314.
En esta ocasión mostraré y estarán a la venta, obras de las siguientes series:
"SANGRO, PERO NO MUERO", 2007-2009
"...Making the blood that flows freely through the feminine body visible, as Isa Sanz raises in her proposal, is still a politic act and at the same time poetic. Opposite to the identity split of the abject, the menstrual liquid becomes a pigment that personify the creative value of women..." Extract from the essay written by Marta Mantecón.

"KOINONÍA", 2011
"Red color, color of passion, of strength, and the color of the menstrual blood. I used fabrics of this color in order to show sometimes imperceptible items, as the water movement, the blowing of the wind, or the emptiness of a crevasse. To emphasize forces challenging the gravity, as a tree’s verticality. Or to blend with poppies in a flower’s field. Isn’t it a miracle that all of them grow together? Maybe that’s God."
"Color rojo, color de pasión, de fuerza y el color de la sangre menstrual. Utilicé los tejidos de ese color, para evidenciar elementos imperceptibles a veces, como el movimiento del agua, el soplar del viento o el vacío de una grieta. Para remarcar fuerzas desafiantes a la gravedad como la verticalidad de un árbol. O para mimetizarme con las amapolas en un campo de flores. ¿No es un milagro que todas florezcan a la vez? Quizá eso sea Dios."
